So, my TDWT group coach Susan sends out this email about the Frank Lloyd Wright races on October 26th, hoping as many of the girls from the group could go as possible to do either the 5k or 10k.
So I signed up. For the 10K. ACK!!!!!! So now, I have 5 weeks to train for a freaking 10k. I'm really hating myself right now, but I'm too stubborn to ask them to change it. Luckily, at the end of October in Chicago, it should be relatively cooler than it is now. I freaking hope so.
Help?!?

I can't offer any personal advice because you know I hate running with a passion!
Here's a link to Cool Running's 10K training program. It's a 12-week schedule, but maybe you can beef it up and do it in 5? :)

Just keep moving forward!
oh, what's life without a challenge?!
*she mutters while hunting down a 5K walk*
I hate it too.... that's why I'm forcing myself to do it. My goal is to run the 5k in Austin without dying (will I even survive the bike??) and then in Chicago be able to go for the glory *LOL* But, none of that will happen unless I get my ass in gear and start running!!!!
Lass -- they have a 5k walk too :) www.oakparkparks.com
